Sherry McCain 60, of Indianapolis, passed away September 13, 2004. She was born May 23, 1944 in Indianapolis. She earned her Masters degree from Indiana Central College. She worked for the Indianapolis Public Schools for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Shalom Mennonite Church and Cumberland Eastern Star. An Eastern Star services will be held with funeral service following at Shalom Mennonite Church, 6100 E. 32nd St., Indianapolis. Survivors include her step-sister Pam (John) Heylann and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tutoring Program at the Shalom Mennonite Church or the Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to Hendryx Mortuary.
2007: Sharon Mackey wrote: I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Sherry. I remember her very vividly because we went to the same grade-school and took clarinet in 7th grade and were together all the way through Junior High band and High School Band.
