Walter N. Burks 63, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007. He was born January 23, 1944 in Indianapolis to James W. and Lois V. Ely Burks, who have preceded him in death. Walter graduated from Tech High School, Class of 1962. He worked as a baker for Kroger Bakery for 42 years, retiring in 2006, and was a member of the Bakery, Confectionery and Tobacco Workers International Union. Walter was a lifelong member of Englewood Christian Church. Walter is survived by his brothers, James E. (Phyllis Jane), Ted A. (Carol), and Terry E.(Liesa) Burks; sisters, Sandra L. Allen (Robert) and Sherry L. Johnson (Lance); and sister-in-law, Marilyn Burks. His brother, Roy D. Burks, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Englewood Christian Church. Burial:
